Remember ska? We do.
Just successfully played a show this weekend that was probably the least worst first show I’ve played with any band. People seemed to enjoy it, and that’s a plus.
Steady Habits is a core of four dudes who happen to be the most frequent backing band for Hardcore Karaoke Pile-On Extravaganza. We’ve been playing music for years and have all been in a bunch of bands, most of which were pretty bad and most of which lasted for about a year (on average). We went on a weekend “tour” with the dudes from Nix86 and Hey Stranger and realized that it’s possible to write ska tunes that don’t suck. This is our attempt to hopefully do the same. We’ve recruited some horn players who are also cool dudes (and one cool lady).
We’re playing some shows over the summer and recording with Greg DiCrosta (of local CT fame) some time soon - more info will be here at some point I suppose. For the time being, I just wanted to get a placeholder up here, because what’s a Tumblr account with no text on it? (My initial question was “What the fuck is a Tumblr account”, which reminds me that I’m getting old (24) and am no longer hip to how the latest and greatest of the internets works.)
I’ll probably use this to post random shit too, because evidently bands with Tumblrs do that too? Fuck, I don’t know. We’re Steady Habits. Have a good time.
